1. Introduction

Welcome to karnyx ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our skill-based esports tournament platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. Account Registration

To use karnyx, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age or have parental consent
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

3. Tournament Participation

When participating in tournaments:

  • You must adhere to all tournament-specific rules
  • Entry fees are non-refundable once a tournament starts
  • You must be available at scheduled match times
  • Failure to appear may result in disqualification
  • Disputes must be reported within 24 hours of match completion

4. Dynamic Prize Pool and Tournament Cancellation

4.1 Dynamic Prize Pool

All tournaments operate on a dynamic prize pool system:

  • Advertised prize pools represent the maximum possible amount if all slots are filled
  • Actual prize pool = (Registered Teams × Entry Fee × Prize Pool Percentage)
  • Prize pool percentage typically ranges from 70-90% of total entry fees
  • The remaining percentage covers platform fees and operational costs
  • Final prize pool is calculated and locked 30 minutes before tournament start
  • Prize distribution adjusts based on the number of participants (e.g., fewer places for smaller tournaments)

4.2 Minimum Team Requirements

Each tournament has a minimum team requirement:

  • If registrations fall below the minimum threshold at lock-in time (30 minutes before start), the tournament will be automatically cancelled
  • All participants will receive full refunds of their entry fees
  • Refunds are processed to your wallet balance immediately
  • No partial prizes or forced matches will occur with insufficient teams
  • You will be notified via email and platform notification if a tournament is cancelled

4.3 Transparency and Fair Play

  • Tournament pages clearly display: min/max teams, entry fee, and max prize pool
  • Prize pool calculations are transparent and verifiable
  • Final prize pool is announced at lock-in time and cannot be changed after
  • Prize distribution structure adapts to actual team count

Important: By registering for a tournament, you acknowledge and accept that prize pools scale with registrations and tournaments may be cancelled if minimum requirements are not met. This system ensures fairness and legal compliance as a skill-based competition platform.

5. Fair Play and Conduct

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Cheating, hacking, or using unauthorized software
  • Match fixing or collusion
  • Harassment, abuse, or toxic behavior
  • Account sharing or boosting
  • Exploitation of bugs or glitches

Violations will result in immediate account suspension and forfeiture of prizes.

6. Payments and Prizes

  • All transactions are processed through secure payment gateways
  • Prizes are distributed to verified winners within 7 business days
  • Minimum withdrawal amount is ₹100
  • Transaction fees may apply to withdrawals
  • We reserve the right to withhold prizes pending investigation of suspicious activity

7. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, and materials on karnyx are owned by us or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit permission.

8. Limitation of Liability

karnyx is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the past 12 months.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may deactivate your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, you forfeit any pending prizes or balances associated with rule violations.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or platform notifications.

11. Governing Law
